Sundays
Our Sunday Services normally follow the pattern below, but if you are not a regular church member please check for one-off changes, especially around summer holidays, Christmas, Easter, etc. We aim for our 10.30 am services to finish by midday.
First Sunday of the month On the first Sunday of each month, we have a service at 09.30 am called Shipmates. This is aimed at primary school-aged children and their families although many people much older also come and enjoy the singing, Bible stories, craft activites and, sometimes, food! This service normally finishes by 10.15 am. Tea and coffee is available from 10.15. This is followed by a more formal service of Holy Communion at 10.45 am. Second Sunday of the month On the second Sunday, we have a service of Morning Praise at 10.30 am. All ages are welcome at this and it includes separate groups for children and teenagers. This is followed by tea/coffee/etc.. Third Sunday of the month On the third Sunday, we have a 10.30 am service of Holy Communion. Refreshments follow of course! Fourth Sunday of the month On fourth Sundays, we have one service of Morning Praise at 10.30 am. This is very much like second Sundays. As with most other services, tea/coffee/etc. follow. Fifth Sunday of the month When there are five Sundays in a month, we have a service at 10.30 am but this is one with very strong elements of Shipmates in it and young children are encouraged to stay through the service. It often follows a Cafe Church-style with tea/coffee/pastries on arrival or, from September 2019 all-age Holy Communion.
